I had been having some difficulty mentally coordinating different aspect of my wedding and reception. But then I discovered the joy (and usefulness) of creating inspiration boards using Photoscape. When trying to determine a style or color scheme, it's helpful to be able to see all the images at the same time. Here's one that I created today:

My wedding is taking place at a school house, so I'm trying to get some inspiration from others who have had a wedding in a similar place.
I found this school house wedding on the WV Weddings site.
This wedding takes place in Toronto. I love the old desks! You can see more images from this wedding on Real Weddings.
While this one doesn't necessarily take place in a school house, the school house theme is so cute I had to list it!
That's all I've got for now. Have a great Saturday and thanks for reading!

So, I went to my sister's for the weekend. Here's a look at what we did:
Tried out the bike I gave her last month.
Played at the idea of a photoshoot.
Endured wedding dress shopping.
(BTW, this isn't my dress...my actual dress photos are top secret until the wedding day!)
That pretty much sums it up!
Thanks for reading,
Kelly
Hiya!
This week I'm introducing the first installment of my first weekly blog special: Hello, House Cats! Every week I'll give a sneak peak into the lives of my three super special cats. This week I'll start with Margot!
Margot (or her unfortunate nickname, "Margie") was the kitten of a stray cat in my neighborhood. I brought her (and her siblings and her mother) in to my home in November of 2009. Homes were found for all the other kitties, but Margot was so cute she had to stay!
Since then, Margot's been a precious part of the family.
Thanks for reading and have a lovely night!

As I've been exploring options for my upcoming wedding, I keep finding so many fun and beautiful ways to incorporate cherry blossoms into the day's theme. Here are a few things that keep stealing my attention:
This cherry blossom mix bouquet spotted here is really inspiring.
This pretty wedding cake from The Cake List is too cute to eat!
I like the idea of a useful favors, so something like these personalized mints on favorideas.com is perfect.
Even on their own, cherry blossoms make such a simple, yet elegant centerpiece. (Image source here.)
Have a great evening, everyone!

So we've finally picked a date for our wedding...Saturday May 14th! I've already have my eye on one location in particular...Cherry Hill School. I went for a tour of the building today. Here's a little collage of what I found:
It's so cute and has so much potential! I'm so much more excited than I ever thought I'd be about planning a wedding.
More to come! Thanks for reading.

As a part of the celebration of the successful completion of my fiance dissertation defense, I made these cream sodas last night. I got the idea from the sodas served in Japan and in this restaurant in Seattle. It's probably our favorite home-made dessert. You can make your own, too!
You'll need:
Put ice in the cups, add soda, then icecream. Top with whipped cream (and a Merachino cherry if happen to have them).
You now have a super cute and ultra tasty dessert. Enjoy!
Thanks for reading,
Kelly
